3D Printed Car Parts

We make 3D printed car parts in Miami for non-structural pieces such as clips, brackets, covers, holders, organizers and trim, printed in PLA or PETG for spots away from engine heat. Send the STL or 3MF to info@supplies3d.shop or on WhatsApp, or ask us to model it from the broken original. Each job gets its own quote, and you collect it at our shop, choose local delivery, or get it shipped nationwide.

Which 3D printed car parts we can make

Plenty of small plastic pieces in a car break, get lost or were never made the way you wanted. Those are the parts we print: pieces that hold, cover or organize something, and that do not carry the safety of the vehicle. A missing clip, a cracked cover, a phone or cup holder, a bracket for an accessory or an organizer for the console are typical requests.

Older cars are a common case: the plastic piece you need is discontinued, or it is only sold inside a larger and more expensive assembly. A printed replacement can solve that for small interior parts, as long as it respects the limits explained below. Custom pieces are welcome too, such as a mount made for a specific dash cam or a tray shaped to your center console.

  • Clips and fasteners for panels and trim.
  • Brackets and mounts for accessories.
  • Covers and caps that have cracked or gone missing.
  • Holders for phones, cups or small items.
  • Organizers for the console, the trunk or the door pockets.
  • Trim pieces that do not take load or high heat.

Car parts we will not 3D print

We are clear about this: we do not print safety-critical parts. Anything related to brakes, steering, seat belts, airbags, the fuel system or electrical safety must come from the manufacturer or a certified supplier, never from a PLA or PETG print. If a part keeps people safe when something goes wrong, it is not a job for us, and we will tell you so instead of quoting it.

The same goes for structural pieces that hold weight or take stress while the car is moving. Our prints are for the non-structural side of the car, where a part that fails is an inconvenience and not a risk.

Heat, sun and choosing a material for car parts

Heat is the main limit for printed parts in a vehicle. According to Supplies3D's product data, PLA+ softens around 60°C and PETG at about 85°C. A car parked in the Miami sun gets hot inside, and the engine bay gets much hotter, so we advise against printing parts for the engine bay or for a dashboard that sits in direct sun.

For most car interior pieces, PETG is the better choice of the two. It handles more heat than PLA+, has high impact resistance, flexes slightly instead of snapping, which helps with clips, and is UV stable. PLA+ is rigid and fine for pieces that stay cool and shaded, like a trunk organizer. Tell us where the part goes and we recommend the material with the quote.

Where the part goes matters more than its shape. A clip hidden under a seat or inside a door panel stays in the shade, while a piece on top of the dashboard or right behind the windshield takes the full force of the sun. Telling us the exact location helps us say whether printing it makes sense at all.

Replacing a broken car part without a 3D file

Most people looking for 3D printed car parts do not have a file; they have a broken piece in their hand. We can model the part from that broken piece, from a sketch or from your description, and then print it. Design is quoted separately from printing, so you see both costs before deciding.

To quote a car part, send photos of the broken piece and of the spot where it mounts, the make and model of the vehicle, and how many you need. If we can model it, the price arrives together with what the design involves and the printing time.

If you already have an STL or 3MF, send it by email or WhatsApp at +1 305-766-2476 and fill in the form on this page. There is no minimum order, so one clip is fine. Pick it up at 7086 NW 50th Street, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ask for local delivery, or have it mailed to your state.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can you 3D print parts for my car?

Yes, for non-structural parts like clips, brackets, covers, holders, organizers and trim that stay away from engine heat. We do not print safety-critical parts.

Is PLA or PETG better for car parts?

PETG, in most cases. It softens at about 85°C against around 60°C for PLA+, takes impacts better and is UV stable, although neither one belongs near the engine or on a dashboard in full sun.

Can you copy a broken plastic piece from my car?

Yes, we can model a new one from the broken piece and print it. The design is quoted apart from the printing.

Do you print brake, steering or airbag parts?

No, never. Parts that affect brakes, steering, seat belts, airbags, fuel or electrical safety must come from the manufacturer or a certified supplier.
