3D Printer Maintenance Service

Our 3D printer maintenance service keeps a Bambu Lab printer running the way it should. For $129 at our Miami shop we clean, inspect and lubricate the printer, check the belts, calibrate it and verify that it performs. Bambu Lab asks owners to grease and protect several parts every three months; we do that work for you, and if a part needs replacing we quote it before touching it.

What our preventive maintenance includes

A maintenance visit is a full check of the parts that wear with use, done in a fixed order so nothing is skipped. You get the printer back clean, adjusted and verified. If we find a worn part, we tell you and quote it; nothing is replaced without your approval.

  • Cleaning, where dust and filament particles build up.
  • Inspection of the printer.
  • Lubrication, following the schedule Bambu Lab publishes for your model.
  • Belt checks.
  • Calibration and a performance check before we hand it back.

How often a Bambu Lab printer needs maintenance

Bambu Lab publishes its own maintenance schedule in the official wiki. Some tasks are weekly and easy to do at home, like cleaning the fans or the air ducts. Others come every three months on every model we checked: greasing the Z-axis lead screws and treating the rods against rust on the X1 and P1 series, and oiling the belt and idler pulley on the A1 and A1 mini.

The schedule gets shorter if you print ABS or ASA, or run the printer many hours a day. On the X1 and P1 series, Bambu Lab suggests cleaning the rods every five rolls when you print those materials, and on the X1 it suggests changing the activated carbon filter every month when the printer works as a production machine. The table below sums up what the wiki says.

Signs your printer is due for maintenance

A printer rarely stops all at once. It usually warns you first: layers that shift, walls that look rough, a clicking extruder, more noise than usual from the fans or the motion system, or a first layer that no longer sticks the way it did.

If you see one of these, maintenance is often enough. If the printer shows an error code, will not home, or stops extruding, it is better to start with a diagnostic and repair, so we find the cause before we clean and adjust.

For print farms, schools and offices

A printer that runs all day collects dust and wear faster than one that prints on weekends, so it reaches the three-month tasks sooner. The maintenance package is a drop-off service at our shop at 7086 NW 50th Street, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If you have several printers, write to us on WhatsApp with the models and how many hours a day they run. We will tell you how to plan the drop-offs so your production does not stop all at once, and whether an on-site visit makes sense for a problem that cannot wait.

FAQ

Questions people ask

How often should a 3D printer get maintenance?

For Bambu Lab printers, every three months is the rhythm the manufacturer sets for greasing and anti-rust work, and sooner if you print ABS or ASA or run the printer many hours a day.

How much does 3D printer maintenance cost?

Preventive maintenance at our Miami shop is $129. Parts that need replacing, such as a nozzle or a belt, are quoted first and only done with your approval.

How often should I clean the nozzle of my 3D printer?

Clean it whenever you see under-extrusion, stringing or a first layer that will not stick, and check it during every maintenance; a partially clogged nozzle is one of the most common causes of poor prints.

Can I do the maintenance myself?

Yes, the weekly tasks are made for owners, and Bambu Lab explains them in its wiki. Our package is for the deeper work, the calibration and the test, or for when you prefer that someone else does it.
