Large 3D Printing
Large 3D printing in Miami has no maximum size with us: if you agree to have the part cut into sections, we print each section in PLA or PETG and the pieces are physically joined after printing. Email the STL or 3MF file to info@supplies3d.shop or send it on WhatsApp, approve the quote, then collect the part at our shop, ask for local delivery, or have it shipped across the US.

How large 3D printing works at our Miami shop
A big part does not have to come out of the printer in one piece. When a model is larger than what fits in a single print, we divide it into sections, print every section on its own, and the sections are physically joined once printing is done. That is how we can offer large 3D printing with no upper limit on size.
The condition is simple: you have to agree to the split. Some parts work perfectly in sections, like a display piece, a costume prop or a long cover. Others need to stay whole for their purpose, and in that case we talk it through with you before quoting. Nothing goes on the printer until you say yes.
Large 3D printing is useful when a part simply is not sold at the size you need. Think of a full-size helmet or armor piece for a costume, a tall architectural or product model, a sign with raised letters, or a long cover for a piece of equipment. Any of these can be divided and printed in parts.
Large scale 3D printing in sections: what you approve first
Before we start, we tell you where the cuts go. You see how the model will be divided, how many sections it becomes and which material we suggest, so the result holds no surprises. If you would rather move a cut away from a visible face or a detail you care about, tell us and we adjust the plan.
When we plan the split, we look for natural lines in the object, like an edge or a change in shape, where a join is less noticeable.
The quote for a sectioned print covers the whole part, not each piece separately, and it comes with the printing time. Large parts take longer than small ones, so the exact time depends on the size of your model and on how many sections it needs.
- You send the file and tell us roughly how big the finished part should be.
- We plan the sections and explain where each cut will be.
- You approve the cuts, the material and the quote.
- We print the sections, which are then joined into one part.
- You choose pickup, local delivery or shipping.
PLA or PETG for an oversized 3D print
We print large parts in the same two materials we use for everything else: PLA+ and PETG, with the IIID Max and Fremover filaments that Supplies3D sells. You can pick any of the colors those two brands offer.
PLA+ is rigid and very easy to print, which makes it a natural choice for big indoor pieces such as models, decor, figurines and cosplay props. It starts to soften around 60°C, so keep it out of hot places. PETG resists impact better, bends a little before it breaks and is UV stable, so it suits larger parts that live outdoors or take knocks, like enclosures and outdoor fixtures. If you are not sure, choose "Not sure, advise me" in the form and we recommend one with the quote.
Ordering a big print without a file, and getting it home
No 3D model yet? We can design it from an idea, a sketch or a broken piece, and plan the sections at the same time. Design is quoted separately from printing, so you know both prices before anything starts.
A large part can be picked up at our shop at 7086 NW 50th Street, Miami, FL 33166, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We can also bring it to you with local delivery, priced together with the order, or ship it to any address in the United States. There is no minimum order, so a single oversized piece is as welcome as a batch.
For a quicker quote, include the finished size, the material if you already know it, the color, how many copies you need and the date. The form on this page also asks whether the part can be printed in sections; answering it saves a round of messages.
How sectioned printing works
The steps we follow when a part is too big to print in one go.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. File and size | You send the STL or 3MF, or ask us to design the part, and tell us the size you need. |
| 2. Cut plan | We tell you where the cuts go and how many sections the part becomes. |
| 3. Your approval | You accept the split, the material and the quote. No approval, no printing. |
| 4. Printing | Each section is printed separately in PLA or PETG. |
| 5. Joining | The sections are physically joined after printing. |
| 6. Delivery | Pickup at the shop, local delivery or shipping anywhere in the US. |

What is the largest part you can 3D print?
There is no maximum size, as long as you accept that the part is cut into sections, printed separately and joined after printing.
Will I know where the sections are cut?
Yes, we tell you where every cut goes before we start. If a cut falls on a spot that matters to you, we can look at moving it.
What if my large part cannot be split?
Then tell us before we quote, because sectioning is the condition for printing beyond a single print. We review the part with you and explain what is possible.
Can you ship a large 3D printed part?
Yes, we ship to any address in the US, and you can also choose pickup at our Miami shop or local delivery quoted with the order.
Have a file ready to print?
Send it on WhatsApp and we reply with the quote.
